Over the years the large lips may change their desired shape. In young women the lips may be too swollen due to fat retention, and in women after childbirth, women who have undergone significant diets or older women, the lips may appear loose and thin. Today large lips can be reshaped by stretching, fillers or liposuction.
How is surgery performed?
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia in collaboration with a plastic surgery specialist, and lasts about an hour. Several techniques are used to stretch the skin, including liposuction, tightening and lifting tissues and a hyaluronic acid filler.
What to expect after surgery?
You should rest for several days to enable the body to heal properly. Swelling may occur in the area and will pass within a few days. It is recommended to wait several weeks before fully resuming sex or a sports routine.
