Breast Augmentation through Fat transplantation
The size and look of your breasts significantly affects your self-confidence and on how comfortable you feel with your body. The great advantage of self-fat grafting for breast augmentation is that by eliminating the need for implants breast shaping can be more refined, resulting in round, full and natural-looking breasts. Breast augmentation through fat transplantation affects breast shape more than size, increasing the breast by one half to one size. The procedure does not leave scars (since no incisions are made), and improves breast skin appearance and flexibility by using fat taken from other parts of the body. To conduct the procedure you must have enough excess fat that can be aspirated from the lower part of your body.
How is breast augmentation through fat transplantation performed?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, and is performed in two stages for optimal results. First, the fat must be aspirated from suitable areas of your body, which for most women are the abdomen, thighs or buttocks. In the second stage, after cleansing the fat, it is injected carefully around the breast tissue, above and below the breast.
What to expect after the procedure?
There is a relatively short recovery period after the procedure, and you can return to work two or three after surgery. There is no risk of an allergic reaction since self-fat is used. It is recommended to wear a corset or an elastic bandage on the area from which the fat was taken, and it is advised to wear a comfortable bra in the first few weeks following the procedure. After surgery the breasts may be larger than their final size due to swelling. Within several months breast size will likely decrease and the final outcome can be seen. The injected fat that is absorbed usually remains in place permanently.
